when you realise you are not the center of the world

I don't understand why some people thinks the whole world is just against them or that they're facing the worst possible situation that nobody could've imagined or go through it. news flash, you're not.

Sure some people might be enjoying a wonderful life and having the perfect outlook on life which always fill their days with excitement and satisfaction. And then you compare yourself to them and you think you're having the worst time of your time. But fun fact, the people you see enjoying their life are the minority, and some of them isnt even that happy. loneliness, expectations, poverty, social anxiety, broken family. I can bomb out more terms, but these are some things that many people don't understand and they just think their life is miserable enough from school works and relationship problems? Sound harsh, but with my limited vocab, i can only think of the term 'self-centered' to best describe these people. I really have little respect/sympathy to people who act like they're the only one going through something. Okay let's say you really dooooo actually facing intense stress and sadness. don't forget you still have your families who'll always ask about you, waiting to shower you with love when you return home, and close friends who you know you can depend on and confide in, because fun fact again: not everyone has the privilege to experience these company and a proper home.

One person i know has a mum who'd hold a knife against her when she goes home; one has a brother who molest her at night when she sleeps; one has a father who's a drunkard and gambler; one has a father who fought with his brother every other day; one has a brother who always beat up and steal money from him; and one has a stepmother who's jealous of her own stepdaughter and backstab her. This is the kind of family some people grew up in, and learnt that craving attention and sympathy from others ultimately means nothing. some of these people i know actually had plans to end their life before. Now that, is painful.

Also, one don't simply tell people that he/she is going to be fake. you just, BE, without needing anyone to know. lol you're defeating the purpose if you want to announce that, it just shows that you're only craving for attention and want people to know that you're actually sad 24/7. Many of special sad people i know, still lived their life normally without anyone knowing, trying to still keep a positive vibe with them, trying their best to 'fit in' without complaining, cuz they know that everyone has their own shit.

I hated those kinda cheesy ass quotes like behind every smile, is a million tears, or a story you could never fathom, blah blah blah. if you type that on facebook, the technically those tears are not 'behind' anymore is it, you're telling everyone that you're crying and trying to act like you don't want people to know.

'hey, i'm okay. I've been crying every night though, but i don't want people to know, i'm just saying.. and you know, when i'm smiling, i'm not actually smiling, but it's okay! you don't need to know'

whut? lul, okeh~

honestly, these are all part and parcel of growing.
